Lingua Natal  works in partnership with elementary schools, Private, Charter and Public and provides one or many of its foreign language programs as part of the school curriculum  and/or as an extra curricular program.

Over the past eighteen years, KidSchool/Lingua Natal has  provided foreign language programs for the Union School Districts of Coronado, Solana Beach (since the year 2000), Encinitas (also since the year 2000), Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe and Poway.

We are also currently at the site of The Cambridge Elementary, a Christian private school in Rancho Peñasquitos,  The Faith Community  school and San Diego Cooperative Charter School in San Diego and The Museum School.

We also provide full time and part time full immersion Spring, Winter and/or Summer Camps at the site Of Elementary Schools.

Integrated Program

Lingua Natal offers its complete eight level program at the site of these elementary schools. The goal of this program is to achieve age appropriate proficiency in oral , reading and writing by the end of the 6th grade.

Schools where the students continue on to the eighth grade, the goal is to also achieve proficiency in grammar and language structure. The number of hours that we provide any one language program, the grade levels to which the program is offered to, and the number of students that are accepted in each group depend entirely on the goals and the budget of each school .

The curriculum and the structure of our programs are also molded into the goals and aims of the school we are serving.

Schools which provide Lingua Natal foreign language programs as a part of their daily curriculum:

  • Ocean Knoll Elementary (International Baccalaureate Program)

Lingua Natal will be an integral of the IB (International Baccalaureate) program at Ocean Knoll Elementary School, Encinitas Union School District, as of September 2011. Our Spring 2011 pilot program has been a success, and we look forward to intergrating all K-6th graders into our full-immersion Spanish classes as of Fall 2011. Extra Curricular Program

The number of days that our programs are offered at a school site as an enrichment program depends on the school administrator, PTA or  after school program coordinator.

The more the students have the opportunity to be immersed in an all immersion program the faster and more long lasting the results. The classes are usually of an hour or 90 minute duration and are held in three sessions of fall, winter and Spring. Students are placed in Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary age groups. We offer full immersion “Art”  class, “Language Introduction”, full immersion class with a Science and/or Geography theme.

Students choose the number of days they want to be immersed in the language.
