“I can’t remember exactly when I started or for how long I worked with Lena at Kidschool (now Lingua Natal) all I know is that it was a HUGE part of my childhood and has helped me immensely to get where I am today. I started at Kidschool at a very young age and have fond memories of the people I met in my classes, the activities we would do and the songs that we sang to help us learn (I still have most of them memorized even today). I didn’t realize what a precious gift I was given until later when my knowledge of Spanish and French and my interest in foreign language and diversity really began to set me aside from my peers. It took me a while to realize how lucky I was to grasp languages so easily and I loved my language electives in school. I felt encouraged to explore other languages and confident when it came to using them in work and social situations. Lena encouraged students to begin at a young age and to learn multiple languages at once. The benefit this gave me was the ability to jump from one language to another and to use correct pronunciation and accents.”

“What is exceptional about Lingua Natal is not solely the unique opportunity to provide children with foreign language immersion, but also its outstanding director, Lena Sisson. She possesses such a keen awareness of early childhood development, various learning styles, and social/emotional stages that she is able to create an educational environment which is sensitive to the individual differences between each child. Her warmth, caring, and genuine sincerity shines through, and allows for a partnership between parent and educator that truly enrich a child’s preschool experience.”

WOW! I am so impressed with Lingua Natal. I am a parent and an educational/behavioral consultant and I have been wowed on every level, especially with our teacher Viviana. As a parent, I love to see my daughter learning and having so much fun she doesn’t even realize that she gaining new vocabulary, a new perspective, and developing into a global citizen. All my daughter articulates now is, “That was so fun Mommy!” It melts my heart.

As an educational consultant I have given countless teacher preparation trainings encouraging teachers to change teaching styles/modalities every 20 minutes for school-age children. Well in the past few classes, I have observed Viviana changing modalities every 5-10 minutes. This effectively kept the toddlers on their toes, engaged, and continuously excited about learning. Viviana is enthusiastic charismatic, and her happy energy just seems to intoxicate the children.

Additionally, I observed Viviana during a class that seemed to be out of sorts. May it was the rainy weather, the additional students in the class or their parents were in the room- either way Viviana remained in constant control. She had to ask a few student to sit out for a song but that seemed to do the trick. She had a few other tricks up her sleeve, all of which I instruct teachers to use. I was thoroughly amazed and impressed with her style and control.

On so many levels, we love Lingua Natal! If you are looking for a language program that is nurturing and well as educational- look no further. I can promise you won’t be disappointed; and if you have the pleasure of observing your child during their classes your mouth will hurt from smiling so much.

Thank you Lingua Natal we look forward to being a part of your programs for many years to come!

I hope this isn’t too gushy, but it is how we feel.

Thank you, Emily Gates

“The (KidSchool) Lingua Natal program is an excellent, developmentally appropriate method of teaching children to love learning and become conversant in foreign languages. The children are enthusiastic participants and are always excited to attend their classes. I highly recommend this program for students of all ages.”

“My two boys have attended KidSchool (Lingua Natal) regularly since they were each 16 months old. We are thrilled about how much they have learned! It is more than just a language school, it is like an International home. My kids have no accent when they speak Spanish because they have learned from native speakers! They enjoy our travel as a family so much when they can use their Spanish skills. But, most of all, my children have an awareness and appreciation of the world around them, including people who are from other countries. It enhances everything they do!”
