OUR BEGINNINGS
Lingua Natal formerly known as KidSchool is part of a family-owned and operated California Corporation and has had as its mission creating learning environments where children (ages 1 & up) can reach their highest potential for language development through active participation in small group settings. Lingua Natal has successfully integrated a whole child approach to language instruction for 18 years. It is our belief that Language is a powerful connector, and we are passionate about teaching children of all ages through our unique, inclusive and dynamic methodology called “Origin”. At Lingua Natal we have been changing the way kids learn foreign languages and paving their path to fluency since 1993.
OUR MISSION & PHILOSOPHY
It is our goal to provide children with a stress-free, full immersion, multi-sensory environment in which language acquisition takes place naturally and in progressive stages. Located in Solana Beach, Lingua Natal, formerly known as KidSchool Foreign Language Center, offers programs for kids in Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese and Farsi! We’ve been teaching kids (infants thru adults) throughout San Diego County since 1993. Our babies start at 14-months! At Lingua Natal, we systematically guide children through the same “natural process” they experience in acquiring their mother tongue.
Our proprietary methodology, Origin, has proven that results are far more beneficial than just becoming fluent in another language. Lingua Natal kids are not only excited about learning a new language, but about the world! We believe every child has the innate capacity to acquire a second or third language as effortlessly as the newborn who acquires its mother’s tongue.
With over 17 years experience, we know children learn languages not by studying grammar and completing worksheets, but by being engaged in dynamic and joyous interaction with people, culture, new sounds, continuous language stimulation and loving encouragement by teachers who themselves are models of multilingual communication!
OUR PROPRIETARY METHODOLOGY
Lingua Natal’s proprietary methodology, Origin, achieves the highest quality language acquisition possible. Origin provides a unique framework for achieving fluency and is based on the latest research in neuroscience and language acquisition. We have systematically structured our programs to deliver our Language Instruction Curriculum (LIC) is an eight level presentation.
